1. How to get to the conference venue:

From the M5 junction 30 follow signs to Services at the first roundabout, then take the first left towards the city centre. Once in the city centre, follow directions to the Museum and Central Station: Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel is directly opposite to the Station.

The Exeter Bus and Coach station is 0.6 miles from the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel.

-       Walking from Exeter City Centre:

Follow signs to High Street. Walk north-west towards Little Queen Street, continue onto Queen Street and follow signs to the Museum and Exeter Central Station, on approaching to the train station take the first left turn and then turn right, the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel is easily spotted on.

2. How to get to Exeter:

The following information will guide you on how to get to Exeter from the three main airports destined for this city.

 

o   Exeter Airport (EXT)

-       By Bus (roughly 35 min):

Bus 4A

Walk to Exeter Airport Terminal, take Stagecoach 4A to Exeter, get off at Exeter City Centre, Prison, walk west on New N Road/B3183, at the roundabout take the first exit onto Queen Street, the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel will be on the right and opposite to the Exeter Central Station.

-       By Taxi (roughly 20 min):

Taxis to the city centre cost around 20 (Approx. €20$30) for the 20-minute journey.

-       By Car (roughly 20 min):

Follow signs to B3184 forward to Exeter. After approximately 0.75 miles, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Honiton Road towards Exeter and continue to follow it for approximately 2.7 miles. Turn right onto B3183 and continue to follow it for approximately 2.3 miles. Take the first exit onto Queen Street and the destination is approximately 200 ft on the right.

 

o   London Airports

There’s a train departing from Paddington Station to Exeter every half an hour. London is 4 to 5 hours away by coach. Tickets are cost effective if you book a couple of weeks in advance.

 

o   Heathrow Airport (LHR)

-       By Train (3h ~ 4h):

There are no direct train services running between Heathrow Airport and Exeter. However, it is possible to reach Exeter Central Station by changing at London Paddington Station or Reading Station.

The suggested routs are:

 

1)     Heathrow Terminals 2-3 -> Heathrow Express (or London Underground Piccadilly) -> Paddington Station -> GWR

2)     Heathrow Terminal 4-5 -> Railair -> Reading Station -> GWR

 

-       By Coach (Fastest 3h 15m):

o   Gatwick Airport (LGW)

-       By Train (3h ~ 4h):

There are no direct train services running between Gatwick Airport and Exeter. However, it is possible to reach Exeter Central Station by changing at Clapham Junction or Reading Station.

The suggested routs are:

 

1)     Gatwick Airport Station -> Southern -> Clapham Junction -> South West Trains

2)     Gatwick Airport Station -> GWR -> Reading Station -> GWR

o   Stansted Airport (STN)

-       By Train (3h ~ 4h):

There are no direct train services running between Luton Airport and Exeter. However, it is possible to reach Exeter Central Station by changing at Paddington Station.

London Stansted Airport -> stanstedexpress -> Liverpool Street -> London Underground Circle (or Hammersmith & City, or Central) -> Paddington Station -> GWR
