Welcome Message

Virtual Conference: After evaluating the current COVID-19 situation and associated travel restrictions, the conference will be held virtually on 17-19 December 2020 as the safety and well-being of all conference participants are of the highest priority. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore Digital Library after they are presented at the virtual conference.

Sustainable Computing and Communications refers to principles that embrace a range of policies, procedures, programs, and attitudes that run the length and breadth of any use of information and communication technologies. It is a holistic approach that stretches from power to waste to purchasing to education and is a life-cycle management approach to the deployment of IT across an organization. It includes designing, manufacturing, using, and disposing of information and communication systems with minimal or no impact on the environment.

SustainCom (Sustainable Computing and Communications) was created to provide a prime international forum for researchers, industry practitioners and domain experts to exchange the latest fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of Sustainable Computing and Communications as well as innovative applications.

SustainCom 2020 is the next event evolving from a series of highly successful International Conferences, previously held in 2019 (Xiamen), 2018 (Australia), 2017 (Italy), 2016 (USA), 2015 (China), and as CGC2013 (Germany), CGC2012 (China), and CGC 2011 (Australia).

SustainCom-2020 will be hosted in Exeter, the capital city of Devon and provides the county with a central base for education, medicine, religion, commerce and culture. The city is also home to the magnificent Exeter Cathedral, which dates back to Norman times. Exeter is also ideally placed to base a trip to branch out visiting places such as the famous Dartmoor National Park and the unspoilt beaches of the North and South Devon coastlines.

Prospective authors are invited to submit their papers to SustainCom-2020. Accepted papers will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore subject to meeting IEEE Xplore’s scope and quality requirements. The authors of selected best papers will be invited post conference to extend their contributions for special issues of prestigious journals to be planned in conjunction with the conference.
