Registration Instructions for HPCC/SmartCity/DSS-2018 and the Associated Workshops/Symposia

 

Please read the following notes before starting the registration process:

1.    Author Registration includes:

o    Publication of one accepted paper in the proceedings

o    A copy of the proceedings

o    Access to all conference sessions, keynote speeches, workshops and symposia

o    Coffee breaks, lunches and one conference dinner

o    Program brochure and conference goodies (e.g., bags/paper/pens)

Each accepted paper must have one Author Registration before 25 May 2018 to guarantee the paper to be included in the conference proceedings.

The Author Registration fee is:

Registration Categories	Fee	Specification
IEEE Member	GBP 450	The current IEEE membership is required.
Non-IEEE Member	GBP 540
IEEE Student Member	GBP 425	The first author of the paper must be a student and the current IEEE Student membership is required.
Non-IEEE Student Member	GBP 510	The first author must be a student.

Paper Page Limit:

o    Conference Papers: 8 pages, including all figures, tables, and references.

o    Workshop/Symposium Papers: 6 pages, including all figures, tables, and references.

Purchasing Extra Pages:

o    Conference Papers: Up to 2 extra pages may be purchased at GBP 90 per extra page.

o    Workshop Papers: Up to 2 extra pages may be purchased at GBP 90 per extra page.

In order to qualify for the IEEE member reduced registration fee and the student reduced registration fee, both the valid IEEE membership and student status will be verified. Therefore, 2018 IEEE Membership Card and the proof of current student status (e.g., valid Student ID or other proof of current enrolment) must be e-mailed (as an attached scanned image or PDF file) to

2.    Participant Registration includes:

o    A copy of the proceedings

o    Access to all conference sessions, keynote speeches, workshops and symposia

o    Coffee breaks, lunches and one conference dinner

o    Program brochure and conference goodies (e.g., bags/paper/pens)

The Participant Registration applies for two cases: 1) one author has made the Author Registration for a paper and other authors of the same paper would like to attend the conference; or 2) A person does not have a paper to present and wants to attend the conference.

The Participant Registration fee is:

Non-IEEE Member	GBP 400
IEEE Student Member	GBP 300	The proof of current student status and the current IEEE Student membership are required.
Non-IEEE Student Member	GBP 360	The proof of current student status is required.

 

3.    To fill in the registration form, you are asked to give the name of Conference/workshop/Symposium and Paper ID. If you register for the conference, for example, your paper ID is “HPCC-127”, please use "HPCC" as the conference name and then fill in "127" as the paper ID on the registration form. If you register for symposia/workshops, for example, you find your paper ID in the list of accepted CPPS symposium papers is “AHPCN-16”, please use "AHPCN" as the conference/workshop/symposium name and then fill in "16" as the paper ID on the registration form. Any incorrect use will lead to the registration failure.

4.    Registration payments can be done via Credit/Debit Card or Bank Transfer.

5.    IMPORTANT:

o    Please include both the acronym name of your conference/workshop/symposium and your paper ID in the payment notes either using Credit/Debit Card Payments or Bank Transfer Payment.

o    Please note that ONE Author Registration must be paid for EACH paper to be published in the proceedings.

6.    Cancellation Policy:

All refund/cancellation requests must be provided in writing and received by 30 May 2018 .
Please note: author registrations are non-refundable and the bank transfer payment is not non-refundable.
There will be an administrative fee of GBP 100 deducted from each refund if the registration payment is done via Credit/Debit card.
